A spot in Beatspot Magazine

Beatspot Magazine is a regular and free publication by Yamaha on all things and artists related to, of course,  Yamaha.

Now in it’s fifth volume, the magazine did a feature on acoustic guitar endorsee Akihiro Tanaka, who last performed in Singapore at the Asian Civilisation Museum in June. The magazine covered his tour around Asia and Rosli was mentioned to have played with him. There is even a picture of the two performing together.

Besides articles like this, the magazine also covers other endorsee and the various instruments that the brand has. So if you like to have a copy of the magazine, you can grab it from any Yamaha store now.

Yamaha NTX900FM Nylon Series Demo

At the recent launch of the Yamaha NTX900FM Nylon series, Yamaha endorsee Rosli Mansor demonstrated and explained in details the features of the latest addition to the Yamaha guitars.

Aside from his usual humor and detailed explanation, together with his student Khairil Yamin on the Yamaha LLX36C, Rosli played entertaining and mesmerising acoustic versions of “Fields of Gold”, “Daughters”, “Isn’t She Lovely” and his popular instrumental song “Rescuing Rukia”.

Spreading out over the weekend, the event saw a good turn out and it was well-received.

Introducing the new Yamaha NTX900FM Nylon Guitar by Rosli Mansor

The NX series, boasting a tagline “Unleash Your Music’s Inner Voice”, represents a new style of nylon strings guitars with pickup systems. The series offers two body types: the classical style NCX line and the thin-bodied NTX line.

Hitting our shores from the NTX line is the NTX900FM guitar and Yamaha endorsee Rosli Mansor will be giving two performances and demonstrations on this new guitar. Accompanying him with the Yamaha LLX36C is Khairil Yamin, who has recently played alongside Rosli at Esplanade Concourse and HeritageFest at Vivocity.

Rosli will be at Yamaha Tampines (located at 3rd floor, Tampines Mall) on 5th Sept (Saturday), 2pm and Yamaha Plaza Singapura (6th floor) on 6th Sept (Sunday), 3pm. Admission is free.

Come down on either of these dates and allow yourself to be blown away by both the mesmerising playing of Rosli and allure of the NTX900FM guitar.

See you there!

Rosli’s Yamaha LLX36C Endorsement Appearance (with Akihiro Tanaka)

Japan’s Yamaha endorsee for LLX36C, Akihiro Tanaka, was in town in June for a solo performance and to promote the high-end electric acoustic guitar. Rosli, as a fellow Yamaha endorsee for the same guitar, was invited to guest perform with Mr. Tanaka.

Held in the auditorium of Asian Civilisation Musuem, Rosli and Mr. Tanaka played 3 songs together: “Summertime”, “Fly Me To The Moon” and “Over The Rainbow”, much to the crowd’s delight. Below is the video and pictures taken during the performance and the post-show autograph session:

A Blast at Yamaha Plaza Sing’s Endorsement Appearance

A blazing good time for those who were present at Yamaha Plaza Singapura to catch the second endorsement appearance of Yamaha endorsees Rosli Mansor and Wendy Phua.

The store was so packed that some had to view through the glass panels outside the store. And this round, there was a guest appearance by Rosli’s student and fellow musician, Shern Wong, who joined Rosli and Wendy for the last song “Rescuing Rukia”.

After the performance, many stayed back to try out and enquire on both Rosli and Wendy’s gear setup and their instruments.

In all, we thank everyone who came, be it our fans, friends or students, even to those who may have just wandered into the store and stayed till the end. Now, let the pictures do the talking.
