Now in it’s fifth volume, the magazine did a feature on acoustic guitar endorsee Akihiro Tanaka, who last performed in Singapore at the Asian Civilisation Museum in June. The magazine covered his tour around Asia and Rosli was mentioned to have played with him. There is even a picture of the two performing together.

Besides articles like this, the magazine also covers other endorsee and the various instruments that the brand has. So if you like to have a copy of the magazine, you can grab it from any Yamaha store now.

Yamaha NTX900FM Nylon Series Demo

At the recent launch of the Yamaha NTX900FM Nylon series, Yamaha endorsee Rosli Mansor demonstrated and explained in details the features of the latest addition to the Yamaha guitars.

Aside from his usual humor and detailed explanation, together with his student Khairil Yamin on the Yamaha LLX36C, Rosli played entertaining and mesmerising acoustic versions of “Fields of Gold”, “Daughters”, “Isn’t She Lovely” and his popular instrumental song “Rescuing Rukia”.

Spreading out over the weekend, the event saw a good turn out and it was well-received.

The tunes of P. Ramlee came alive once more…

The air of reminsicence filled Vivocity on 26 July 2009 at 5pm, as the tunes of Malay icon P. Ramlee wafted to the aural senses of the people present.

There were smiles on the faces of the older generation, some even subconsciously tapping their feet or swaying their bodies to the tunes they listened to while growing up.

Even for those who might not be familiar with the songs, they lingered awhile and gazed upon the stage where Rosli revisited P. Ramlee’s tunes on his fretless neck (on the double-neck guitar). Accompanying him on acoustic guitar was Khairil Yamin, who had previously played with him at Rosli’s performance at Esplanade in May.

Rosli entertained the crowd with songs such as “Jerintan Batinku”, “Di Mana Kan Ku Cari Ganti”, “Jaggan Tinggal Daku”, “Bunyi Gitar” and “Aduh Sayang”. He ended the performance with his original and the crowd favourite “Rescuing Rukia”.

The video is now for viewing below:

Held in the auditorium of Asian Civilisation Musuem, Rosli and Mr. Tanaka played 3 songs together: “Summertime”, “Fly Me To The Moon” and “Over The Rainbow”, much to the crowd’s delight. Below is the video and pictures taken during the performance and the post-show autograph session:

If you’ve missed Rosli’s performance at  Esplanade Concourse last Thursday, then this is one video of Rosli and fellow guitarist Khairil Yamin that you should not miss. In this video, they played “Venice”, a song from Rosli’s upcoming second instrumental album.

The song, with its soulful and reminiscing tune, coupled with the eye-catching scarlet double-neck guitar, have a profound and mesmerising effect on many who have seen and heard it. And in the trail of the performance, they left their comments about “Venice”:
