Recently, Rosli has had the opportunity to lay his hands on Yamaha’s piping hot offering, the Pacifica 611HFM.

The new Yamaha Pacifica 611HFM is a modern guitar with a vintage feel. From the maple tinted neck to the gorgeous flame top, the instrument is almost flawless. Rosli said, “Personally, I love light guitars, and I love how comfortably this alder body sits on my lap while not weighing me down.”

He continued, “Surprisingly matured, the seasoned and soulful sound is due to the synergy of the p90 and humbucker pickups; which also add versatility to the list of the 611HFM’s attributes. But the best thing to me is how a telecaster twang can be derived from the ability to split the bold-sounding bridge pickup; and it’s even a string-thru body, just like a real telecaster.”

“Yamaha has put in carbon fibre saddles, giving it lots of sustain and clarity. Even the smallest details have been seen to. The new ‘Pacifica’ font on the headstock is classy and posh, and fits in with the rest of the whole very well.”

So what is Rosli’s verdict on the guitar?

“I love the Yamaha Pacifica 611HFM for its basic design and playability, and the additional sprucing has only made it even better. But what really stands out to me is the p90 pickup, which seems to add a touch of old-school charm to a decidedly contemporary look. I would love to have one myself – and I’m sure you’d feel the same once you’ve played it at your nearby Yamaha store.”

Has Rosli’s review gotten you excited? And also a review is never complete without a video demonstration.
