ROSLI MANSOR is a musical storyteller, weaving his music into intriguing tales with the electric guitar.

Armed only with an electric and fretless guitar, Rosli Mansor’s penchant for weaving intriguing tales into songs has given his music a unique quality that brings listeners on a soulful, intimate journey. Since receiving his first guitar at the age of 10, Rosli’s interest in music grew into a lifelong passion met with the influence of musicians such as The Beatles, The Carpenters, Robben Ford, Jeff Beck, Bill Frisell, Larry Carlton and fretless guitar legend, Erkan Oğur.

Rosli’s eclectic music career has taken him across diverse genres, both in and out of a studio as a recording and live session guitarist, as well as a soundtrack composer for Singapore short films, theatre plays and cable television. His versatility and talents are further attested by his latest endorsement by the legendary amp behemoth, Marshall Amplification, with many other major brands on the list, both past and present.

Released in 2007, Dragged not only marked his debut but was also Singapore’s first full-fledged rock guitar instrumental album. His second and follow-up album Deeper Than Purple was released in 2010 to rave reviews by local news publications TodayOnline, The Business Times and others.

Besides being a full-time musician, Rosli also taught at the Yamaha Music School in Singapore since the early nineties, imparting his interest and passion for the guitar to students young and old.

Now, as a Swee Lee Artist, Rosli is involved in workshops and product demonstrations. On top of that, he is also a senior instructor at Swee Lee Music Academy, where he works closely with the education and planning team to inspire the direction of the Academy.
